Every year on the closest Saturday to the 26th of September (Shannon's
birthday), his friends, fans, and family (his mom, Vernie, his sister,
brother, and nieces and nephews) gather together at his grave. They
listen to music, play music, read poetry, leave gifts, flowers, light
candles, give out free gifts, and hang out all night long to celebrate
Shannon's life. In the past, people have come from places such as
England, The Netherlands, Canada, Texas, and California. The next
vigil will be on Saturday,
